Yonex’s Astrox 77 Play is a terrific racket for beginner players who are just entering the sport.
It’s shaft is highly flexible to help with timing in your shots and the balance point is leaning towards head heavy, which helps with power in your shots.
Yonex’s Astrox 77 Pro is a strong racket all-around the court. It offers slight help with power but requires pretty good stroke technique (i.e. upper intermediate) to get clean hits, especially when smashing.
If you’re looking for a powerful racket for your doubles games, this may be a good contender if you prefer playing the rearcourt.
It’s not as powerful as the Astrox 99 Game or Astrox 100 Game, but it’s slightly easier to play soft shots around the net with.
The Yonex Astrox 99 Play is like smash heaving for beginner badminton players.
However, if you’re an entry-level player who has never played before, this racket might not be the best fit for you just yet (check out the Astrox 77 Play instead).
